    BMW M3 Killed

Driving back from a friend's house Christmas Eve, I pull up to a Red Light next to this pretty nice M3 (clean, not riced out). The guy rolls down his window (his gf/wife/significant other was smoking hot by the way) and yells over to me (my windows were down cause it was about 60 out) and says "Is that thing fast?". I responded with, "Do you want to find out?". He then revved at me and I revved back.

Before I go on, I want to mention that my Transmission is f***ed...3rd Gear Clutch Fork is bent and 4th & 5th Gear Syncros are shot.

Anyway, so the light turns green and i launch from about 2k, I don't like burning my clutch for no good reason. I pull on him and rev it out to 6k, then when I try and shift, it doesn't want to go into 2nd, so I left it down to 4k and it goes to 2nd. By this time he's caught me, I then rev it to 6k again in 2nd. Once again, it doesn't want to go to 3rd right away, so I let it drop down to 4k before it goes into gear. Once again he pulls next to me and I pull away once I got it in gear. This continues up to about 150 and I'm about to shift to 6th, but decide to let off cause I've obviously won (he was about 2 car lengths behind me by this point). I expected him to be all good about it and all, but no...he flies past me and flips me off. My only conclude that he thought I was messing with him, when it was really my shitty transmission.

Anyway...it was fun and he was officially killed...lol.

well good kill anyways. Those m3s have been quicks for a long time. My buddies 96 smoked a brand new SRT4 in a 1/4mile a couple years ago.

Nice kill, I messed with one a few months ago. We were going up a ramp and he got on it on a tight curve which left my non cornering GTP way behind. I stayed on it a but but he got too much of a jump so I just gave up. I'm sure from an even start I could have hung with him. Then he just stayed on it coming up to a ramp. A car that didn't realize he was going 100+ pulled into his lane and he had to hit the shoulder. I would have felt bad if they would have wrecked because I kind of egged him on to race. Still he was well ahead and should have got out of it.

    How fast are those things?

i think hes asking is it an 01-06 body style or 95-00 body style? pretty big difference......240 horse vs 333

Either way they are both pretty quick. I know the 95-00 runs 14s to 15s depending on the trim, if its a 2 or 4 door or a manual/auto. The newer ones run around low 13s.

um the difference between a 4.6 0-60 and low 13s quarter is dramatic from high 14s ....a second is huge.....i remember the 95s being a lil faster though ...i thought they were low 14s

Oh yea a second is a lot but like I said both generations are pretty quick. I still consider a 14 second car quick and a good kill.

around 15 flat stock....0-60 low 6s .....hondata plus intake=25-30 horses or 230 in a 2700 lb car with 2 ft lbs of tq...lol ..hondata is basicly a tune.....a full bolt on one or around 3k in mods will get u low 14s ...waste of money.....better off starting with a low 13s car

is it? LOL yet ANOTHER beef i have about them......6th gear was geared waaaay short..should of been a LOT taller.......at 80 cruising i was at 4k rpms.....i did NOT get great gas milage with it.....low 20s usually......i get 16-17 with a 500hp 383 ..if that rsx was geared right so i was at 2500 or so at 80 i woulda got mid 30s highway..that woulda been nice...actually HIGHWAY i get BETTER gas milage with the Z
