    hmmmmmmmmmm you put motors together for cayenne? there was a time that he bashed my motor buildin' skills. . . . . .

    well i got some LT parts layin around also if ya run into a snag. lots of random parts, and some nice parts too.

    Trust me, Cayenne doesn't need anyone to work on his motors. I happen to have the crank, rods, slugs in my possesion intended for another project in which I decided to part ways with. I am selling everything to him assembled.

    i wasn't sayin he did need someone to build his motors. i know he knows some stuff. i was just bein an antagonist in case he ever read post

    I broke the transmission input shaft last time at the track. Main reason is I want to have a bit a variety in my project cars, not two 240s, and I want to get started on my LS1 car. I've already pulled the motor setup. I'm probably going to keep the motor setup and build I have and go with a smaller turbocharger, maybe a GT30R, and find something interesting to put it into, maybe a street legal sandrail. Tough to find those in FR format though.

    I saw a bunch of sandrail videos and they look wild. Seems like it be an interesting way to kill myself with a 400-500whp setup in one.... can't wait, but the LS1 car is getting the attention first. The SR setup is going into storage for the time being.

    The 240 chassis is getting sold to a friend of mine. He's going to make an LSX project out of it, so everything is going to good use.

    In the meantime, I'll be dialing in the cam setup on my LS1 car to see if I can get her into the 10s next time out.

    Sandrails are cool. There are some big time sandrails around here with twin turbo LS2's etc....
    I'm getting ready to buy a nice 4 seater already setup and street legal. Fun for tooling around the mountain trails and mining towns, and I won't tear up my wifes jeep that way

    A friend of mine, knew some guy that brought in a sandrail to get dynoed. The thing was RR format, like most sandrails, and was sporting a 4G63T 4-cylinder with a FP20G turbo setup. My friend said the thing came in on slicks, and after the dyno session he pulled the front wheels off the ground on the street! That's with about 330whp.

    My SR setup was making over 500whp with the GT35R. It should be more tame with a GT30R and have a better spool time with more power under the curve. This into a sandrail would be game over.... and fuck yes I'd drive it on the street.

    My 87 GN ran a best of 10.99 @121. I'm building a forged set up with a bigger turbo right now for Pink's All Out in July. I don't have a roll bar so I'll have to keep the boost down for the event. Now on the street???

    man i remeber when this thread was first started. I automatically thought the fastest non ls1 was a termi, now I see (after reading this thread again) all the differant years makes models of bad ass cars. Awesome thread. Thanks Hutch. Not really a kill story, but awesome.
