a4 ws6 vs m6 ws6 vs cammed lt1
tonight just crusin around lookin for some rice lol..ended up running into a what i thought was a v6 firebird(turned out to be a cammed lt1 firehawk) idk how i got that wrong...we ended up going from a 10 roll 3 honks i pulled on him threw first...2nd still pulling...3rd he started running back up to my passenger door where he evend it out and we stayed side by side until we shut down..cool guy with his girlfriend both impressed that my ws6 hung in there with his cammed car(full exhaust,tune,etc etc...) had a convo about the cars then headed off diffrent ways...now i was sitting in a parking lot across from where all the local rice meet every night..when a orange nice looking ws6 pulls up beside me..we have a quick convo about the mods we have then he asks if i want to run so i said sure because ive never really ran that many other ls1's we take it from a 25-30 roll 3 honks i pull threw first...at 2nd he was back at my bumper at 3rd he started to pull past me and had me at his rear bumper until we shut down, i kind of figured since it was an m6 it would pull me up top. the ws6 was a 2002 had cutout,exhaust,lid....atleast i was killed by another ls1 and not a civic lol

Nice Kill/Death... I hate that about Autos... we always get the shot down low but then missing those extra gears show their ugly head... and we loose it up on top!...
Atleast you Lost to a fellow LS1... I wish I could run another LS1...specially a 6speed!...

Build your tranny and it'll take care of that. I had my 4L60 (non-"E") completely built and the response, upshifts and downshifts, everything is light years ahead of when it was stock.

I agree, I had my A4 shift patterns reset and the pressures changed etc etc when I had my dyno tune done. Of course the stall helps too, but damn, shifting from 1st to 2nd at light pedal pressure will almost bounce your head off the headrest. at WOT it will pretty much go sideways for a couple of feet. INSTANT shifts ... fun stuff.
