    99 Trans am Vs 2000 C5

So i just got everything done in the car a couple weeks ago and i went to cruise out to the local spot and meet up with some guys, except there was no one there. So i cruised back to the interstate and was on my way home when i saw some familiar looking tail lights off in the distance. So i pull up beside the guy and he goes to give it a little bit of throttle so i give it a little bit of throttle and come off. So he lays into it, im a little late into the game so i lay into it, he jumps out a car ahead of me and i start to reel him in and pass him. So i come off and he comes off and i break and come up next to him again. He gives three honks and we both take off, he was never even with me and i just started pulling away all the way up to 110 at which point id put about a car and a half on him. I stopped and talked to the guy afterward and he said he had cat back exhaust on it and that was it. Looking forward to a tune now.

I should'nt be but sometimes im very suprised as to how well a stock C5 does or minor bolt ons. The gearing i think are different on the vettes and it weighing less helps it out even more.

Meh well i dont have alot done to my car and i still need a tune after the headers but i was surprised it beat the c5 even by a little bit. Always kinda goes through your head"its a vette im gonna lose" but not what happened.

Nice kill. BTW a T-56 F-body has the same 3.42 rear gear as the T-56 Corvette. There are 2.73 T-56 cars out there if I recall correctly, but it isn't common. It may have been for foreign export only, but I know for a fact I chatted with a guy in Germany who had a T-56 with an economy gear out back. FYI.
