    6.0 gto vs 00 z28?

    ok so first off i wasnt sure were to post this and ask about it so if this isnt the right thing let me kno. but anyways i got a friend with a 6.0 gto completely stock. im curious as to if i shld run him. my car isnt stock i have a 2000 camaro z28 with

    headers
    full exhaust
    underdrive pulleys
    160 therostate
    air box lid
    comp cam
    stage clutch and short shift
    and about of suspension mods

    wld it be a good race or will i get smoked.?

    ya i mean i kno it sounds like a dumb question but ive only raced one 6.0 gto and he stuck right with me for a good couple sec's. mabe the other one was modded.

    You should pull on it. Your about 375+RWHP especially with the cam give or take and the GTO's usually are about 340RWHP stock. They weigh more thats for sure i think 3720lbs. You should pull fairly easy i think.

    well im thinkin i have more rwhp than tht. bc i sct flashed my ecu this past weekend and changed it from stock settings.

    Is that a plug in programmer? If so, you may have actually hurt your hp. Sad to say, they really don't help our cars. If it is a program like HPTuners or EFILive, then that's different.

    oh really thanks for the heads up. the sct flash is a plug in programmer and it has 3 different settings. i set it on race. and i heard from a couple different ppl tht have used it on there ls1 tht it worked great. but do u think i shld just put my ecu back to stock settings?

    Not sure on the brand you have, but I believe all it really does run the fuel mixture a little richer. Might adjust a few other things. Best bet is, to either have it Frost tuned - he's a sponser on here who does mail order tunes and is highly spoken of, or have it dyno tuned by a respectable shop.

    ya ive heard alot of good things about tuned by frost. and probably is down here in hinesville GA were i live on ft. stewart there isnt anyone really close tht i can get it tuned by. like the closest place to me is vengenance racing in atlanta which is like 4 hours away.
