450 Rwhp Z06 Vs 600 Fwhp? Neon

This is my friends 2002 Z06 and it has been able to easily walk on BPU supras (7-8 car lengths by 150 mph). But last night, he raced against an extremely fast Dodge Neon...we don't know how much horsepower (From the way he pulled, we are assuming he's pushing around 600 WHP) he is pushing, but he totally smoked my friend's Z06 from a 55 roll to 140 MPH. He literally left a 1/8th mile skid mark on the highway when he took off. I also have a rear view of the race and the Neon swerves from side to side on take off (Torque steer).

The first time they raced (About 6 months ago), the Z06 only made 370 RWHP with intake/headers/some other stuff and it was able to pull on the Neon by 1 car length before the Neon let off. Evidently, the Neon blew his motor 4 months ago and was pushing 467 FWHP on race gas. He ran a 11.7 @ 128 MPH on the old setup. Since then, he's added a BIG sticker on the side of his car to advertise for his dad's shop. He popped his hood and we saw a very big turbo. Probably a Precision PT61? Anyways, is it possible that the sticker added 200 more horsepower? We smelled race gas... but he claimed that he was *only* pushing 18 PSI on 93 octane

You're correct, I asked the EVO owner and he is indeed running a T3/T4 50 trim on a conservative map. And that Neon is confirmed to have around 700 horsepower at the flywheel on race gas, but he told me that he was only running low boost -- pushing around 550 whp when he raced the z06.

Those are some cool vids. Zo6 is a tough SOB to beat from a roll!! Im surprised that evo couldnt hang a little better with that zo6. And that neon looks wierd when it wants to loose traction from the rear since its a FWD. It must have alot of power. Check out this cool vid i found.
