427R not so fast
On the way back from college headed to work down I-240 east this really isnt a kill story but i was just cruisin 5 over and he get on the highway and slowly creeps up on me then we just hit the horns and went at it right off the bat (from about 60mph) we were dead even i couldnt pull him and he couldnt me but when we got to about 110 i slowly started creepin past him and once i hit 125 i shut it down and was about a fender in front of him
i thought these cars were supposed to be some bad ass supercharged race car but none the less i was not impressed in the slightest i figured he was goind to stomp a mud hole in my ass right from the get go
i would like to see how they do at a dig just out of curiousity but my cars bone stock with just exhaust and msd wires

You talkin Roushe Mustang? Yeah I would think he would gain a small lead on ya with you being stock for the most part. The chump was probably saying to himself he should have gotten the GT500 instead. He is probably at the Dealership asking them what mods he can do to it right now.

I know i knew that my car was fairly fast but i would of figured that my car wouldnt have a chance against that (it is a roush 427) i looked it up online and all it is is a 4.6 with a small bolt on roush charger all i know is that if i payed that much for that car (there in the neighborhood of 47k down here) i would be one pissed off sob
however i was watchin the speed channel where they too a '08 gt and spent like 6k in bolt-ons (called it a budget build lol yea right) and the car only gained like 125hp is it just me or is that a really sorry hp gain for the coin you have to spend

true but thats still way to much money i think i mean that you can spend about 3k on the motor and put a 250 shot of nitrous on it and your good to go with over 300hp gains if the nitrous does its job

That car should put around 370 down to the wheels but they are more of a road course car. The 427r's go some nice suspension upgrades!

as far as i know the 427 stang badge is just because it has 427 hp. I used to see one at the track i go to all the time and i think the best that thing ran was like 13.30. i used to laugh when my $12000 lightning would spank his ass runnin 12.80's. but now im back in a ws6 lookin for mid to high 11's. guess if u wanna go fast u need to ditch the ford lol

see even the ford tech doesnt know what he is doing. Well i must say i did enjoy my lightning but didnt enjoy going through two motors in less than two years. Just finished up my ls6 swap into my 01 ws6 m6 which even without being tuned yet still feels faster than the lightning was. tryin to get the tune before this weekend so i can take her to a local drag event to see what 430 to 450 hp will do.

no not to far at all, i am in between modesto and stockton. I finished putting the car back together about two weeks ago. my ls1 was running lean and i didnt know about it till it detonated and put a hole in one of the pistons. I was able to get the ls6 from crateenginedepot.com for about 3600 shipped, had the trans gone through since it was out added a few new bolt ons and stayed rite around six grand or so. hoping the car puts down between 440 to 470hp which should put me into the elevens.

thats kinda what i did, started with s.f.c, than full exhaust than gears and new posi unit, the list just goes on and on. cant complain to much got a steal of a deal on the car, picked it up for 5600! it had 122,000 on the clock and a 5000 dollar custom stereo in it. Now after all the crap i put into it i am just over 13000 into it. need to post some pics up of it

you got it for a good price... mine i paid 4700 with 121k miles it had a broken rear end i put 3.73s on there it has bout 1000 miles on it..
it runs good but but not to its full potential.. my stock z 98 was faster than this one..
but with all that u spent is worth it cuz u knw you have car for a long time and its all build up..

Good kill op! i raced a roushe stage 2 and i looked it up and supposedly its supercharged makin 427hp. i had 2 people with me and he had no one, from 55-135 i had about 2.5 cars on him. I figured he would have killed me. All i had at the time was slp lid, smooth air bellow and thats it. Good kill again
