    What are you talking about? There are plenty of S2000 that run high 13s stock. That's like saying there are no F-bodies that run 12s stock. You get a good driver in the car that can launch and hit the shift points it it's going to do better than what Car & Driver presents. I will admit that they do not trap as high as an LS1 in the 1/4, generally around a 97-101mph trap for the AP2s, However, many stock LS1s trap in the low 100s as well. The crossover is close enough to admit that some S2000s will give a stock LS1 a run for it's money. Will it beat it? Probably not, but the LS1 isn't going to put bus lengths on a S2K, at least within the 1/4 mile.

    You must be out of your mind if you think an F-body can outhandle an S2K. The car was designed to spank around the track. The engine was designed and geared for that. Sure you can throw on some parts that asset an F-bodies suspension, and you can also throw on some coilovers and suspension parts that asset an S2K. The F-body was not designed as a track car. It was designed for straight line performance. The F-body is a great looking car, and has a excellent powerplant and straight-line performance..... but other than that I don't think it excels anywhere else.

    I am not a big fan of the 350-370Zs. I have a friend that has one and ran high 13s and traped 102mph bone stock. He's in the low 13s now with bolt ons, and he can't drive that great. I would bet you that his car could give a stock LS1 a run for it's money, and do it better than an S2K, which runs out of steam after a while.

    Now with all that being said..... which car would I rather drive as a daily? Of course an F-body. I owned one for 2 years and it got great gas mileage had good power, and was a nice daily. I'm not spanking around a track on the street, so an F-body suited me nicely. When I finally wanted to build up a car, I bought a car that I could purpose build to be fast around the track and the drag strip.

    Just did a little research, rummaging through a Honda Tech forum. Those guys say 99 percent of S2K drivers are going to run a 14.x quarter mile. They also admit that LSx motors are far superior to their rice engines, but think that F-bodies are ugly and have interiors of astro vans. They also said our cars handle like out-of-control-rhinos. lol...Ricers...

    I use to be on M3 forums alot because i owned a 01 M3. Before owning my M, i owend 4 fbodies before and loved camaro's regardless of what i drove at the time. They would bash the camaro's like there is no tomorrow, how they handle like crap, cant brake, look ugly, cheap plastic interior and so on. They forget to mention that the M3 brand new is 50k+ and a base model Z when they were making them especially the last two years was about 24k give or take. Soooooooo for about twice the money it better have better braking, handling, looks and so on because id hate to think i paid all that money out of my pocket just to show off and say i drive an M paying 5-600 a month payments. Funny thing was even the M owners were putting on coilovers, upgrading brakes, doing ebay headers, D/A tune, streamline drop in filter with the intake elbow and so on to get more power out of them just like we do with our cars. I take nothing from the M nor an S2000 they both have there own following but i came back to a camaro for a very good reason, there is nothing like the acceleration and going through the gears with the low end grunt for this amount of money, i think its a bargain.

    I tell you what. Go ask an S2000 driver that question and let him tell you like it is. Any "respectable" S2000 guy will tell you an S2000 isn't running with a stock LS1. But you'll probably never believe this no matter who's mouth it comes out of.

    You are lost in your own BS.

    An LS1 F-body is a MUCH more powerful and faster car than a Honda S2000. We're talking about a car that has over 100WHP more, as well as a much fatter powerband and 3 times more torque. Its not even a comparison.

    Which obviously proves you don't know what you are talking about. No surprise there. You act as if 4th gens still have leaf springs and steering gear boxes, your perception is skewed. 4th gens are the best handling F-cars ever produced, and even stock they put down good handling numbers. They use an SLA front suspension with the strut mounted to the unibody, which is regarded as the best front end suspension setup available. In fact, guess what other car uses the SAME suspension up front?? Thats right, your precious S2000. How ironic. In the back, F-bods are still somewhat limited by the solid axle setup, but its a 3 link, which is the best design for handling as well because it prevents axle windup. With the proper suspension mods, and Fbody will easily keep up with an S2000 around a road course. Just because you refuse to believe it doesn't mean its not true

    Wow I didnt mean this thread to turn into this sort of debate. But it is definitely worth the read. And no way in fuck a stock s2k will keep up with an ls1. I test drove both and the S2000 was quick but slower by far.

    350z arent worth anyone's time unless they have forced induction. For the money you spend on one, they really arent that better at handling over F-bodies.

    ^^^ with some of the vids i see of them beating and keeping up with camaro's and shit talking they do on there forums i would think they would come on here and teach us a thing or two, lol. On a serious note reading some of the other posts, ive never lost to a S2000, even one with full bolt ons. Even with my LT1 6speed ive easily pulled on a S2000 with exhuast and intake mods, so i dont know why even an LT1 would have issues pulling on one unless its F/I. Granted there not cars you drag race with, it handles, brakes good and is a pretty decent convertible car.

    We don't need any "teaching", the facts are the facts.

    The only ones you see beating F-bodies are the heavily modded ones with F/I, otherwise it ain't happening, and those are few and far between anyway.

    Times have been "verified" by who?? How can you prove they didn't have any mods?? You can't, which is why I don't believe it.

    Notice how all the '07 models are running mid 13's at 102-104MPH, and then all of a sudden you have a 13.1 at 105MPH and a 13.1 @ 107MPH?? Sorry, I'm calling bullshit on those times, not even the mags hit times that low or trap speeds that high.
