2011 Mustang GT hits 11s on drag radials...

    While pulling the wheels up...

11.65@118mph best time: (*** this same car went on to do a 10.88@127 on the 100 shot)

...and a bonus. This guy picked up his new 2011 Mustang GT, installed a 100 shot and some radials (everything else 100% stock), and went to the track in less than 24 hours since buying the car:

    First pass: 10.96@125mph:

A buddy of mine actually sold his Z28 and is picking one up. Not necessarily a kill story, but entertaining to see what this car is capable of.

+1 I don't get what everyone is excited about these cars. They ain't shit! Even the Ford forums have the Termi as a better car once modded. 5.0 is nice but its not the end all Ford performance or American performance. Sick of seeing these threads pop up everywhere. I try to ignore them but every minute they are popping up.

Everyones excited because ford took a 5 litre engine that makes some serious power. While chevy had the chance but dropped the ball imo.

It makes around 400 hp which isn't really serious power in my book. I will give it props for doing it N/A which isn't really Fords MO. Is it a nice car, yup......but it seems like every video that pops up, people are posting. No offense to the OP.

    Weird....

    4.56 gears
    31 spline axles
    Spool
This is a rear we had laying around done. That's the only reason a spool was used. And yes you can drive a spool on the street. Did it for years. It's the only way to do it.

Bassani X. Welded it in to stock pipes ( USING STOCK CONVERTERS )
    Bassani Mufflers
Bogart Racing Wheels Front and Rear
28x10 slicks ( I know guys are spoiled now adays with their drag radials and all, I remember when I started back in the early 90's I drove to the track with my slicks in the back with the jack and bolted them on.

Kirkey Driver seat with Manaul stock Bracket.
Nitrous size not sure. Made 60rwhp on dyno wet kit ( I checked with Justin, he said the Jet Ratings called for 100hp )
    Adjustable Stock Replacement Struts Eibach
Eibach Drag Launch Kit ( no air in bag )
    Adjustable Rear Shock
    Adjustable Urethane Panhard Rod
Metco Adjustable Upper w/ 05-09 Mount
    Metco Lowers w/ ICM Brackets

STOCK Driveshaft / STOCK Computer no custom tuning
    STOCK AIR FILTER LOL

The second car is owned by Justin Burcham, a long time NMRA racer and shop owner. They did indeed pick it up and 24 hours later, had it in the 10's, but as posted above, it was more than just radials and the bottle.

Regardless, the cars are stout. You see a lot of posts about them right now because like the 2010 Camaro about this time last year, it is the latest "thing".

Oh ya....and uh....nice kill. The car in the other lane didn't stand a chance....
