    2003 Jaguar S-type 4.2L supercharged(400hp)

The wife and kids laid down for a nap earlier and I went over to my friend Joey's house. He bought one of those little mini bikes so I was helping he get it running. Well another one of his friends showed up and he was telling him that he was selling his jaguar and explained that it was supercharged and had 400hp, so I but in and said yeah right!, well to make a long story short we get in an argument about it and he asked me if I wanted to race him with the gto, of course I said yes. So we went on a nice queit back road near where we live. We first hit it from about a 40 roll we hung close to about 65-70, in the upper rpms in 2nd I put about 2 1/2 car lengths on him, and in 3rd I started to get a continuous gain anyways by about 110 I had maybe 5-6 car lengths on him. So we decided to try it from a stop, when he said go, I hit it and started to go sideways peeling out then i let off and hit it again pretty much staying right next to him, but every gear in the upper rpms I would pull 1-2 cars on him. So we tried it a third time, this time i told him I would ease into it off the line, I said go this time, and eased into it and right off the jump started to put my rear bumper at his front, and every gear was about the same result but this time was getting a little more seperation and had maybe 6-7 car lengths on him when I let off.

    2003 Jaguar S-type 4.2 supercharged specs:

    400hp, 408 ft lbs torque
    Curb weight: 4046 lbs

    1/4 mile est: 13.6 @ 103 mph

    My car:
    2004 Pontiac GTO
    LT coated headers
    High flow cats + mufflers
    K+N CAI
    Tuned

anyways I believe now, he hung tough...rather impressed with the car. IT WAS a good time for sure. This happened earlier today + is my first post on this forum.

NICE kill! I've seen those supercharged Jags running right at the specs you give, 103 MPH but usually 14.0. Weight kills 'em.

Come to think of it, buddy's mom (back in '04) had an S-type (340hp?), and on a 2nd gear downshift, somewhere around 40 or so, that thing HAULED!! Not sure if it was supercharged or not, but I was definately surprised! But just like Too Fast said, they're not exactly designed specifically for performance... k, done with the obvious

It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.
