2001 ls1> 2011 srt8 challenger

So i was heading home in the t/a today, and a rather beautiful woman was next to me in a plum purple srt8 challenger. beautiful combination. i had seen her around before but didnt get the chance to race her. so im slowly down shifting from 4th to 3rd to 2nd, and she nailed it. got the jump on me, but no worries. i quickly reeled her in and passed her by. i tried to get her to pull over to talk to her but she had turned off before i got the chance. next time

just headers and a lid, pnp tb. nothin fancy. i know they're pigs, the srt8 is the only real model in our category, the others are just for looks, and its a beautiful car, but too heavy

Not surprised. I got to drive an aqauntince's RT auto and I wasn't impressed at all. Not even a little bit.Speaking of which, I need to stop by and let him beat on the WS6 a little.

Theres a purple with white stripes on Naval base here.. beautiful woman drives it too.. but haven't seen it on the street.

I am not a fan of the normal RT, the SRT with some work would nice looking and a hoot to drive.

I do LOVE the look of the R/T cars in white with the black stripes. An old guy on the highway gave me a thumbs up when I passed him with my Z28.....yes I said passed. haha

nice! i got to run one once, he nailed it as he was passin me and my wife and downshifted and got on it. stopped his pull but did not gain on him. i have to assume he had some goodies done to it seeing i am a full bolt on m6 with 4.10s. there is a black one i have seen around where i work that is lowered with black wheels with goodness know what else down to it. big dude that shaves his head drives it, looks like sex

I test drove a 6 speed SRT Challenger when I had my 05 GTO. I loved the car but not for the price tag of damn near 38 grand. The thing had really turned me away from this car was the salesman. While I was looking under the hood of the Dodge, he came up to me and asked if the silver GTO was mine. I said, "yes sir." He went on to say that he bet the Challenger could whoop the GTO. Needless to say he declined a "challenge"..Haha! I always wanted one of those cars until this fucker put a bad taste in my mouth about his beloved car. Funny thing is, my good friend had a very similar experience when he took his 01 Firehawk in to have it appraised on a trade in for an SRT. The guy told him that the F-Bodies were "old technology". Hmmmm, funny how car companies have copied off this old technology...for instance, aluminum blocks..

Dont forget to mention the composite intake manifolds and each cylinder having its own coil pack. just saying.

Good kill. You sure it was a 2011? Didn't they bring in the new 6.4L?

Those things were tearing up the track in stock form if that's the same one.

Agreed, alot of dyno's saying these 11's are underrated and laying down 470hp to the wheels when that is the new crank rating. probably an older 425hp model.

6.4's come out in 2012 he ran a 6.1 and i highly doubt a 11 is going to come out of that car. its got the HP for it but its way too heavy and the suspension is not good enough to keep it planted

The 6.4 is in the 2011 SRT8, beware!

too bad it was a challenger because i love the way they look.. to me is def better than the new camaro..
dodge cars are heavy but i think hemi are good motors//

i raced an ls1 sw6 on the 07 charger R/T i had.
i beat him twice by a car on a 1/4 mile..
both a4 and 22s on them..
