Be the first to admit that they launch well (when launched well), but other than that, I see no real threat. In my opinion, the only Imports to really be feared are the ones than employ either the 2JZ, or the RB26...

    What is your point??

Why do you feel the need to come in this thread and randomly post some information that nobody really cares about?? To try and gain respect for your car?

Typical ricer, its like you have to try and prove something to everyone because the import lost, I could just as easily post up numbers for a 1200WHP Camaro whenever a Camaro loses in a kill story, but thats just pointless.

When modded isnt as fast as yours? Well depends how modded. Exhaust and flash.. no. Cams, exhaust and flash would walk on you stock. I dont like to do the comparo though since they are quite opposites really.
Whats your point?? Of course the Evo could be faster with mods, thats true for any vehicle. He could just as easily mod the GTO and make it faster yet, you're arguing a moot point.

And I think anyone with any taste in cars would take a GTO over an Evo any day, especially considering it costs less. But thats just my opinion.

    Anyway, back on topic:

Nice kill on the STI. No car trapping at 101MPH is going to pose a threat to an LS1 with a capable driver, unless the guy gets a ridiculous jump on the launch by coming off the line at 6K RPM and frying his clutch in the process. Most people with common sense won't do that to their 35K car and its expensive clutch, though, so its an easy win for the F-Body.

Read what I said. I was talking to 05GTO. He said "even modded they arent as fast as xx". I responded saying "modded" could mean an intake or a whole list of upgrades basically.

Also, regarding buying each car. To each his own. Styling believe it or not is subjective and people have different opinions. I think the GTO looks boring. That is my opinion. You think my car looks awful, that is your opinion. What matters is that we both LIKE what WE WANT.

GM got it all wrong with the styling of the GTO. They should have called it a Cavalier SS.

The interior is nice as hell though.

    Good kills with the SS!

I wrote that awhile back. I'll be very honest with everyone, since that time I've gained a lot of respect for the EVO/STI make. There not my taste in "style" of course, as I'll always be a die-hard GM guy, but I've seen, and raced, some extremely fast ones at the track. There are quite a few Japanese engines that can be strong runners. The 2JZ, RB26, SR20 and the rotary, to name a few. No car is to be assumed slow anymore, not in today's world...
