05 GT's are they worth anything?

A buddy of mine has an 05 gt i've rode in it and it feels strong but then again he always has it in drive, (dont think they have an OD). like i said it feels strong only because he has a heavy foot compared to my car i always cruise in OD and try to conserve gas. I havn't been in it since he installed an air intake in it. So, if we were to race what do you think would happen??

My car: 99 Z28 A4, k&n filter,NGK tr55's flowmaster, and I just purchased LT ceramic coated pace setters. I am still debating on the rest of exhaust set up.

His car: 05 GT auto, jba mufflers, intake.

So what would the outcome be right now and after i install my LT's?

Although I've seen "close" times posted in mags and at the strip from both being stock, I would say you've got it pretty easily by a few tenths at least.

Yea it would be a good race....but you should get him by a few tenths.....my stepdad has an 06 GT M5. When he only had JLT intake and SCT tuner he went 13.5@106

THe new autos in the GTs are actually very fast shifting....i dunno what they do with some power though

You have not been able to get a non-Overdrive transmission in a Mustang since 1984. Auto or manual.

The AOD hasn't been put in Mustangs in several years. The automatic in the 2005+ Mustang GT is a 5 speed auto (5th gear is the OD gear). I have not heard how well they are holding up, but they seem to be more efficient than previous A4s (4R70W, AOD-E, or AOD).

I have owned 06 stang GT it was completely stock to air filter on stock tires. I ran best of 13.43@103mph. but since he is auto and mufflers don't do anything and intake doesn't do anything without a tune either. with your mods, you will walk on him.
