02 trans am vs 04 mach1
A few weeks back my coworker brought his car to work, he drives a red 04 mustang mach1 with LT headers, x pipe, flowmaster 44 mufflers, k&n intake, and Diablo tuned....at work i was asking about his car, and he was bragging to me on how he never lost a race, he claims he beaten camaro ss, trans am, and corvettes, so we decided to race after work. At the time all i had for my car was an air lid and catback so i thought i was gonna lose.
we find a good spot and and decided to run it...
First race, he spun out and i beat him by 8 cars or so.
2nd race, he spun out and i beat him by 8 cars or so again...
3rd race, he finally catches grip and 1st gear i pull ahead by 1 car and a half, 2nd gear we stay the same distance away until about 120mph...
finally 4 race i spun out in 1st gear, he pulls about a car ahead, i had to pedal my gas pedal until i caught grip, then i floored it. pulled right next to him, we are neck to neck, everytime he shifts, i pull ahead, everytime i shift he pulls ahead...all the way to about 125mph, i had him by a bumper before we slammed on the brakes, haha, so his car wasnt all the hype he made it seem

Black 2002 T/A M6- Green 1997 Ram 4x4
Wow. Had no idea the 04 Mach 1 was fast enough to run neck and neck with an LS1. Never payed any attention to stangs from that gen unless they had "Cobra" on the bumper.
Nice kill though, sounds like you both (though him to a greater extent for spinning twice in a row) need a little bit of a driver mod (or tires ). Good kill though.

The mach1 5spds are low 13 second cars stock. Not sure why its a surprise?

Silver- 2004 SVT Cobra
Get some longtubes on your car and he definatley wont keep up, The NA 4 valves dont respond as well to bolt-ons like the LS1s do.

Torch Red- 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Hell, I ran a 13.1 @105 bone stock, on street tires, with a full tank of gas, and I wasn't even trying hard.

I ran a stock one at the track 3 times. They are definitely low 13 cars stock.
