I still do not understand how to get pictures into my posts.
I must be thick but I just do not understand how to get pictures into my
messages. Can you help? I tried it some time back and the pictures came
out way too large and only about a 1/4 quadrant displayed. However,
I am not sure what I did to get that picture into the message. Can you
take it by the numbers or is there a help file on this subject?

Thanks very much. Does PhotoBucket resize the pictures to be correct for
display in my messages here? Sizing is an area that I still have problems with and am not sure how to get it right.
Actually, your photos displayed a bit too large also by about 10%. It
was necessary for me to scroll back and forth to see the whole photo.
I use Eudora Pro and I wonder if that plays into the problem?

I am not sure what exactly Photobucket does to resize the pic. I know that if you need to resize a pic that you have, you would need a program such as Adobe Photoshop to resize the pics to bump up or bump down the pixel size. as for my pic being to big for the screen, that all depends on your monitor size. i have a 19" flat panel and when the window is enlarged for instance, i can see the entire picture.
I have never heard of Eudora Pro. If it is a photo-editing program, it might just take practice time to figure out how to do certain things. If I can be of anymore help, please let me know.

Sam,
I take that back. Photobucket reduced the size of the pic I posted to use as an example to you from 3000x2400 pixels (picture file on my computer) to 1024x768 pixels. That also reduced the file size from 2.32 megs to .387 megs...

Great....then that solves my problem and I do not have to deal with it.
BTW, with you pictures they would be correct if it were not for the left
hand task bar here. It apparently is pushing the photo to the right some.
It looks like the photos from PhotoBucket are sized for a full screen width.

Ok, let me see if I can get it to work. This is a photo of a wing that I put
on my car after suffering a lot of gaff about the idea in another thread here.
Who cares, I like it and that is all that matters.
Oh, I found an options area that let me reduce the picture size to 800x600 and that should reduce the picture size a bit so that the right side does not run out of the post. Also, I did not understand what was meant by use () brackets so I did not use them. Just copied the image/URL string.

Mine is set at 1024 x 768. The monitor is a wide screen 22". The pictures
at 800 x 600 come out perfectly.
BTW, someone asked about Eudora Pro. It is one of the best mailers ever made. I have used it for maybe 15 years, up through various revisions. It was bought by Qualcomm back maybe 5 to 7 years ago and development was slow with them. They have now given all rights to the program to the Mozilla development team and it is now in the public domain. I guess that Qualcomm needed the tax write off.

I like to use tinypic (its easier):
http://tinypic.com/
Just go to the website and follow the directions to upload your picture. Then it will give you a link that you copy and paste and save it somewhere where you can retrieve it again. I have a word document where I save all my links.
Anyway, the just click on the icon that looks like this: , copy and past your link and enter. It should throw it right in there. Here's one for example:
