Better without the sound!
New intro is cool but lose the sound - maybe just me but sounds on sites are more annoying than anything else.

I say keep it. This site is about LS1s, and that is what a good LS1 sounds like. Just my .02 cents

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
We had it online w/out sound for a while, like a week, and it felt "unfinished" so Ed Blown did a recording of his car and I put it up. Now the sound makes it 100%; you KNOW you're on a muscle car forum. I'm with you though, some sounds are just pointless on webpages unless it's a small beep or click noise for a roll over, maybe a swooshing sound for a page change. We considered a different rev for each of the cars on the left but knew that would be overkill.
Thanks for your input though.

Maybe it would sound good if it were through some decent spearkers.....but it sounds like ass on my laptop....and that's how I get online MOST of th time.
Put a switch for the sound so the few people that don't know what an LS1 sounds like can hear one.
But that's my .02 cents

How about turn your volume down if you don't like it.

I didn't say I didn't like it....I said it sounds like ass through the speakers on my laptop
I would have to remember to turn off my volume each time I shut down if I wanted to avoid the sound
Sometimes we forget things and the sound of a revving engine isn't always a welcome thing
I suggested a on/off switch for those that WANT to hear it which would be very easy to do.
Now why don't you go and do something useful for this site besides flame people for making suggestions in the feedback section

But the sound is only for like 2 seconds. If they put an on/off switch, by the time you go push the button to turn it off the sound will be over.

I found a solution
When logging from your browser type www.ls1.com/forums
It will take you directly to the forums and bypass the BS sound effect

Take it out!Take it out!Take it out!Take it out!Take it out!Take it out!
I hate it, but that's just me.
I cringe when I access this site at someone else's house, it is so embarrassing.
