Whats a good replacement speaker for our verts?
I know I have my front drivers blown and maybe my pass rear. Thinking about trying to upgrade but would like your opinions.

I just had all mine replaced at Best buy with Infinities. They sound great.

speakers
I just installed infiniti 62.7 kappa speakers in the doors and they sound great and are a "bolt in" install. I am still in need of some sail panel speakers for the rear seat area. Unfortunately, the vert is different from the coupe in this area due to speaker size and depth as well as wiring. Any suggestions?

I Had to use spacers, and then they will fit. The spacer is about a 1/2" thick or so. Best Buy installed the same front and back, and the first time I put my top down the next day, it ripped one of them off. So they added the spacer and no problems now.

Sail Panel speakers for 99 SS Vert
The spacers seem to be the way to go, but did you use the Infiniti Kappa 62.7i speakers in the sail panels (rear seat area) as well as the doors?

Sail Panel speakers for 99 SS Vert
I am impressed with the sound and quality of the Infiniti 62.7i speakers in the front doors and am glad to hear that they are adaptable to the rear sail panels. Should I assume that they were wired direct, not using the Infinity crossover? What differences in sound did you notice from the stock speakers?

I'm not sure on how they hooked them up? The other ones where in bad shape when I bought the car, so its hard to give a comparison, they sound great now though.

They looked like they where at least 1/2" thick maybe 5/8". I saw them in the package so not sure? They did make sure that the speakers didn't rub on the panel.

Went to Best Buy this morning to find a pair of kappa series Infinities. Best Buy only sells the Reference series. I guess the search continues.

Mine must not be Kappa's. I bought the ones they offer. They are Infinities 6 something with an i at the end. They kept the box. So not sure.
