I have UMI and I like them a lot. I got the bolt ins, they didn't have weld ins back then but now they offer both. I'd get the weld ins if it were me. You can always get bolt ins and have them welded.

the BMR vert weld-in SFCs are very nice, and do not reduce ground clearance at all. Nice improvement to the handling and feel of the car.

This is a great first mod

Hey - bump for an old thread...

Those with SFC's, what'd you do with the fuel line on the driver's side?

I picked up the UMI part number 2027-B bolt in SFCs for my 2002. There was no interference with anything and no change to ground clearance. Clean easy install and they came with quality hardware. Very happy!!!!

I had to assume since he is posting in the Vert section that he has more than the car listed on his avatar. I'm not sure if I'd like one of the new GTOs as a vert. I'm not terribly excited about the new Camaro as a vert either after seeing the spy shots.

FWIW - I've got a '96 V6 'vert that I'm putting the UMI weld-in subframes on - though I'm temporarily bolting them in. Just noticed in a test-fit the fuel lines poking out that might keep the front end from lying up against the frame.

And no, I've spent enough on the Monaro conversion - so a convertible Monaro is out.

(Though I do like the lines... http://www.seriouswheels.com/cars/to...yn-Concept.htm)

Bump for this thread - anyone ever get the "pop" on big one-wheel bumps after installing these? Sounds like something's loose at the right rear LCA bolt (but not the left), but I've already re-tightened it.
