    Styling bar for convertibles?

Hey I'm looking at this '02 convertible ws6 right now, but if I end up buying it I would definitely want to get one of those styling bars with the rear light. I think they look sooooo good I was wondering if any of you knew where to find them or had any pics of them on your ride. I've been googling all day and can't seem to find anywhere.

the ones you mention offer no protection and the light will bug you with the top up.
I have the same rollbar as mentionned by hastingsrj, Wolfcraft Racing

Hmmmm,,,,why would the light bug you with the top up???? Mind explaining???

It would be like having a dome light just like in the millions of other hardtop cars running around. Is that so bad????
Actually I kinda hate the fact that there are only lights in the floors, doesn't light the rest of the car up that well, especially for my son in the back seat when he wants to read something, it's rather dark for the back seat passengers with the stock lighting,,,just something to ponder

I believe he means that every time you hit the breaks youll get a red brake light going off in the interior of your car (brake light built into the bar)

I dont know why but I also like the look of the light bar...for me personally it just looks like theres too much going on with the fulll on roll cage.....Can you make a cage to look like the lightbar...meaning only 2 points where it connects to the car??? Not trying to hi-jack your thread but I am curious because I like the light bar as well

Oh I see,,,,,theres a brake light on the bar????? Now I understand the comment about the light going off all the time while the tops up,,,,,,,Why in the world would you need that???? The car has enough brake lights already.

It seems a dome light would make more sense.

Try finding any manufacturer that'll claim their product offers any crash protection whatsoever that connects to the car at only 2 points.

I would still love to see a vert in person with the 4 pt. cage installed. I'm curious about some things. I never see any at the track or around the street here.

Thanks for the link. I have seen those pictures before. I don't care for the door bar though on a car I drive nearly daily in the summer time. My wife and son would do nothing but complain having to climb around that thing.

And no a swing out bar would not be an option either,,,just in case you were thinking

You can order it without that bar.

Ya thanks Ed, but I would still like to see one in person sometime before I make a decision. Just no verts running or racing around my area.

Just some picky details I would like to see for myself so I can decide if it's for me,,,,or if it's going to bother the backseat passengers or not, and what if any affects it has on interior,,,I'm not a fan of cutting on things

If you are going to have people sit in the back, get the removable bar. But Adults may hit their head on the bar.

Hmmm, from those pics it appears the rear goes back to the rear deck/package tray area,,,right where my SS deck mat sits.

Guess that would pose a problem??

My wife would kill me if she kept hitting her head on the bar Maybe it's not for me.
