Anyone know what are the convertible tops rated for top speed. Anyone had any oopsies at speed? I've been up to 130....

I wouldn't think it would matter much at all as long as the windows are rolled up.

I mean really if GM was worried about it, they would have put speed limiters on all the verts, much like they do on the cars that didn't have the speed rated tires

Makes sense to me anyway.

i did 146/147 once. good enough for me. it was still pulling pretty good too.

If the weather is nice enough to warrant driving fast/fun, then it's nice enough that the top should be down in the first place! So this should never be an issue!

I got my LT1 Convertible up to 145 with the top up in Mexico of course... That was about all it had it seemed.

Never really had the 01 Camaro much over 100 since I've had her. But the z34 has seen speeds in the 130-140 range. Speedo buried @ 125, rpms @ around 7500 and climbing b4 I stepped out of it..

i'm with you men the fastest i've gone is 110-120 here in va we don't have nice strait roads without traffic (i am a little afraid of i ticket at 140's or 150's besides my insurance is already high. )

Pfff, I don't even care to do the speed limit most of the time. I have no interest in finding the top speed, it's rather useless anyway on public roads.
