    2000 Camaro Z28

    wrecked 2000 Z28 M6, NY area

2000 Z28, one owner, 84,000 miles. In great condition except for the damage in the back - got hit from behind while stopped. Damage is to back bumper, both rear quarters are damaged identically (you can see the left quarter in the pics), and to the rear rails under the car (back from the subframe connectors).

The rest of the car looks like new, I'll post other pics when I pick it up from the body shop if there is interest. M6, Hurst shifter, leather, power windows, FTRA, SLP Lid, BMR STB, BMR SFC's, BMR LCA's, BMR PHR, chrome 17" Z06 wheels, Baer Eradispeed rotors, recently installed LS7 clutch kit. Car is still driveable but Geico is calling it totaled and I am trying to gauge interest to see if I'm better off taking the money and selling as is or getting it fixed. Car is on Long Island, Nassau County.

Yes, they're paying me book value and then it's my choice whether to use that money to fix it or just sell it.

Same thing happened to me but mine was worse then that, big time! I was able to get it fixed. I guess it's all up to you what you want to do though.

I'd be happy to get $2000, not sure what it would be worth to someone in this condition. Also, forgot to mention in the first post that the car has HAL shocks and Hotchkis springs.

It's actually at the shop now being fixed. The car was hit straight from behind which pushed the rear frame rails in about 1 ft on the bottom. Believe it or not, the hatch still closes perfectly. It was on the frame machine tusday getting pulled and lined back up and hopefully will be back from paint early next week.
