    PA - 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX $3,000

    $3,000 obo
    Subaru WRX. 185,000 miles.
Car is inspected until 5-15. I have not diagnosed the issue but it appears to be internal engine problems. Cars still starts and drives.

Stage 2 tune was removed from the car.
I have the Cobb tuner but will be selling this item separate.

    Body is in fair condition.

Upgrades on the car - full exhaust Bosal Dual Tip cat back. Turbo X down pipe. Upgraded up pipe as well. Short shifter. Touch screen radio/DVD/MP3 player.

Drivetrain is all stock. Suspension was recently replaced with stock parts.
Fix the engine and the car is good to go.
Two tone black and blue interior.
    Momo steering wheel.
Front clip needs replaced. Passenger side fender has a few dents. As well as rear bumper. Typical 12 year old body.
Front and side air bags. I will miss this car. Owned since 2005.

The last code was a crank position sensor. Sensor was replaced. The engine will idle and move the car around but you will here the tap as the Rpms increase. Likely a rod tap/crank issue or valvetrain issue. clutch and tranny are decent for 185k. I purchased the car with 48,000 miles. Still same clutch.. Clutch pedal is heavy but no issues in any year. Brakes are good.

The price seems fair enough. I'll pass this along to my son who is looking for a project car.

That sound is a rod knock. Not a big deal now, but if the rod decides to break off, it could go through the block and be a total loss of an engine. DO NOT rev it up any more than idle. Ask me how I know. LOL
