2000 Trans Am 416 RWHP
***SOLD***
Finally selling the black beast. I purchased it in 2004, and mechanically, the thing has been as reliable as you could want. She is mostly a garage queen these days, so it is time to pass her on to someone to carry the Firebird torch.
I used to be on these forums almost every day, mostly reading and trying to gather information. I put a lot of time and thought into the powertrain mods, to make sure they were all meticulously mated to one another without any obvious bottle necks. I was more than pleased with the results, and the custom Flowmaster duals really give it a unique and menacing sound.
(more pictures below)
Location: Dayton, OH
Mileage: 95,000
Price: $7,000 cash
Pros
1. Dyno: 416 RWHP 387 FT-LBS
2. Custom over the axel duals with Flowmaster 40 series (2 chambers) 2.5” race mufflers, 2.5” tubing, 2.5” Dr. Gas X-Pipe
Tucked up nicely:
The tips even have "Flowmaster" embossed on them:
3. Patriot LS6 Heads, Custom Cam by Partick G

Valvetrain
7.400" Pushrods
.040" Cometics for 3.910 Bore
GM LS series camshaft lifter kit
ARP head stud kit
ARP rod bolts
The Rest
N-Motion Adjustable Timing Chain
ASP Pulley with belts
ARP bolt for pulley
30# SVO Injectors
Katech ported LS6 pump
4. QTP Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers with HVMC
5. Other Bolt-ons
6. Transmission has been rebuilt and Centerforce clutch installed
7. Firehawk Hood
Professionally repainted to paint match just this year
Cons
1. Purchased the car with a Rebuilt Salvage title
It had a rebuilt salvage title because it was stolen and recovered from the previous owner. Then I purchased it in 2004, when it had 57k miles on it. It ran like a beast since the day I bought it. I’ve put almost 40k miles on it, modded it in 2007, and it still runs like a beast and then some.
2. The chrome rims have some rust on the barrels
3. T-tops are the dot-matrix style off of an LT1 Firebird.
I used to not always lock the t-tops with a key, and I lost one on the highway. I still have the passenger LS1 t-top if you want it (so I have 3 t-tops in total).

I am interested in the "Beast". I sent a PM yesterday with no response. I have been a member for a long time but have never posted. I am not sure if the PM went through. What is the best way to contact you?

I had a question regarding tread wear on the tires.
The fronts have BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWS
255/45
The tread is starting to get low on them:
The rears have Nitto 555
245/45 (even though they are only 245's, Nittos run wide, and these are slightly wider than the front tires)
They still have a lot of tread life left on them:

LS6 Intake painted black to match the theme:

The camera and flash do not do the Stainless QTP Long Tube Headers justice. In person and in the sunlight, the stainless has some red, purple, and blue hues where they meet the heads:

Silver Metallic- 2000 Trans Am WS6
Not a post for interest of the car, but I want to ask, what is the difference between '98/'02 T-tops and '93/'97 model t-tops? You said there is a dot matrix pattern to them? I have never noticed this before, could you post a photo of that?

Beautiful clean car man. The mods look like they were really well done. I have been wanting to put on true duals and flowmasters on my TA forever. I wish you were closer, I would love to see this in person with a bunch of $$$ in my hand. Anyway, good luck with sale.

Red- 02 35th LE Camaro SS
Are the wheels Eagle G077's by chance? If so, I had those exact wheels at one point in time. Love those wheels.

Price Drop
$7,000 Cash
Somewhat surprised that it came down this low. I think someone is going to get a good deal, as it is a lot of engine and a unique custom exhaust set-up for the money.
