    1998 Z28 Camaro Convertible – M6 – 44,000 miles

Searching back through the “For Sale” listings, F5 (’98-’02) stick shift Z28 convertibles just never seem to come up. Well, here’s one now. I’ve owned it since 2001, but it’s time to move on. Asking $10,000 and I think that’s a decent price. Not in a huge hurry to sell, so I won’t be looking at any offers under $10,000 unless it doesn’t sell by summer.

Fairly unmolested, but it does have about $4000 worth of upgrades—
    • Factory leather interior
    • Custom floor mats
    • Oris Windstop (click for info)
    • Eclipse AM/FM/CD player with high end speakers and amp
    • Escort Passport 8500 (hard-wired) with dash-mount SmartCord MuteDisplay (click for info)
    • Adjustable Koni shocks – front (tuned by Sam Strano)
    • Heavy-duty Bilstein shocks – rear (also from Sam Strano)
    • Adjustable lower control arms – alloy billet
    • C4 “sawblade” alloy Corvette wheels – 8.5” front and 9.5” rear
    • Goodyear F1’s – 255-45-17 front and 285-40-17 rear
    • Magnaflow stainless steel cat-back exhaust with custom tips
    • Texas Performance air lid with K&N filter
    • Skip shift eliminator
    • NGK’s

Had some trouble with the rear end slipping, so got a new factory differential installed at 39,000 miles. Otherwise, the drivetrain is OEM.

The color is "Cayenne". Paint is gorgeous and the car is definitely a head-turner. (I've used Zaino exclusively for the last 8 years.)

Never been raced, not even on the street. Just a fun summer weekend car for a gray-haired driver who likes a car that can handle twistys as well as straights.

These pics are from last summer before I replaced the chrome C4 wheels with alloy C4 wheels. As soon as the sun comes out here in Washington (which might not be for a few months) I’ll get some pics with the new wheels/tires.

If you got questions, I'll reply to e-mail, PM's and posts. Whatever.

    Thanks for looking.

Pics updated with new wheels and tires. Pics taken March 24, 2010.

We've had some pretty nice Spring days around here, so the mileage is now 44,875.

Don't you know somebody who'd look great driving this beauty?

BTW, I'm a forum member from way, way back in the early days of this forum, back when I first got the car. But then my membership got deleted due to inactivity. Had to sign up all over again last summer when I decided I was going to begin doing engine mods. After adding up the cost to buy headers and a bunch of other stuff, I decided I couldn't afford it, and instead made the hard decision to let go of this fabulous car just because I need something new in my life.

So I bought this beautiful babe, and I need ZWEEET to abdicate the throne!

Like Superwoody said, it's a Goose--2007 MotoGuzzi Norge 1200. Transverse-mounted V-twin. ABS brakes. Heated grips. Long distance sport-touring machine. New to me, but previous owner only put on 3100 miles, so it's barely broke in.

Check out BeginnerBiker.org, not only is good if you are a beginner, but there are a lot of veteran riders on there that really help you with everything from gear to saftey. Tell em Superwoody sent ya they'll know who you are talking about.

I sold my bike to get the Camaro for my son, I can always get another bike later on but I'll never get to work/help my son "tinker" with his car during his teens. Sorry for the threadjack, but I try to throw out a good word for that site any chance I get.

SOLD. (Finally). I'll never have a car as good as this one again. A sad day. It was a 10-year love affair.

But no point to moping around. Got to get on with things.

Like breaking in that new bike. Next time you see a guy on a bike, give him some extra room. He's not surrounded by a metal cage. His ass is on the line every second of every ride so give him a break if you can. Thanks, guys!
