Ignition Orange/Black- 2008 G8 GT, 98 Z28 383
1998 WS6 For sale $6750
SOLD.
SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
It's for sale again. I bought a 2000 WS6 6 Speed and I need to sell this one. I had a local buyer, but the deal fell through.
My wife is now pressuring me to sell it too. I want the $ to fund another project, that is the only other reason I'm selling this car
1998 WS6. .222 /.585 Comp Cam installed @79K miles with upgraded lifters/springs/valves installed. Transmission is a brand new Extreme Performance Stage 2 4L60E rated to 600 HP with only 200 miles on it. Extreme performance 2500 Stall and synthetic tranny fluid. I spent 2K on the transmission and it has a 1 year warranty. The exhaust is SLP longtube headers with a 3"pipe all the way back to a magnaflow muffler. It is a very custom setup that you have to see to appreciate. I spent over 900$ on the exhaust system. It sounds great.
373 gears with the differential cover brace (10 bolt but I had the diff cover off earlier this year and everything looks good, and the rear end does not whine) with Powder coated Z06 wheels with 305/35/18s on the back and 275/45/17 on the front Nitto 555r tires. Tires are brand new with about 99% tread left on them. Sub frame connectors and KONI(Those were the old shocks they are now bilstein as of this week) shocks as well. The chassis has 139K miles on it. I have always taken care of this car and never beaten on it and it shows. I am the third owner Runs and drives great. It runs VERY strong for the small cam.
Brand new window and headlight motors installed January this year, interior is flawless. Dashboard is not cracked. There are some minor paint flaws that you would expect from a car that is 11 years old.
Here is the list of what I have done in the way of Mods
Comp Cam and valve springs package
Ported LS6 Intake
BBK 80MM TB
Bilstein Shocks with Hotchkis springs and Sway bar
Welded in SFC's
Wheels and Tires Shown
Dyno Tuned by Jeremy Formato at Rollins Automotive in Gainesville. (the car put down 379 RWHP and 362 RWTQ)
Extreme performance transmission (stage 2 still under warranty and 2500 stall converter)
NGK TR Iridium Plugs
MSD Wires
160 Degree T-Stat
Auburn Racer Rear Differential with Cover brace
373 rear gears
SLP Headers Magnaflow exhaust with no Catalytic converters
I have only run the car at the tracka couple times. It went best of 12.4@111 on street tires, with a 1.9 60' time. It went 12.78@108 on the DR's with the old transmission slipping in third gear with a 1.7X 60' time. I have not run it on the new transmission. It easily has 11s in it with heads, or a 50 shot. It may have 11's in it now in air other than FL.
Last month I replaced the belts and hoses, flushed the coolant. I have spent over 10,000$ on this car over the years, an I think my price is pretty fair. Someone is going to get a very nice car for the $. I never drove this car in the rain, and it has been kept under a carport in a cover for the entire time I have owned it. It looks and drives better than a lot of the F-bodies I have seen with half as many miles on them. The wheels and tires are worth at least 1500$, the transmission was 2000$. Never been in an accident, I am sure I forgot something.
The bad: The A/C needs a compressor to work, there are the bubbles in the sail panel that I have seen on every 4th gen Trans Am, and there are some scratches in the paint. NO dents or dings though. There is a small rock chip on the rear spoiler as well, but it could be repaired very easily.
Someone make me a decent offer and it's yours
Call (352)870-1172 with any ?'s
Oh and No trades. I had to take out a loan to fix the transmission so I need to sell the car outright. And also, the red button in the pictures is a line lock. The car has never had Nitrous run in it.

Black 2002 Formula M6- SOLD on 11/21/2009
Very sharp looking and the things you've done to it seemed to all be 'done right'. Is it possible to put cats on it in order to pass emissions in those states that have strict emission testing? Such as we have here in NY?
You mentioned no whine in the rear end...What does cause that whining in some?
Best of luck in selling it....where I am people are just not opening up their wallets or purses and those that will are looking to steal your vehicle from you instead of paying even a fair price....this eoncomy sure has a wide spread negative effect on just about everything.

I would love to buy it, but no funds at this time. This time next year and it would be a different story. But you got some free bumps and I got a new wet spot on my shirt

If It was an m6 I would buy it tommorrow. If it was close to me I'd consider driving an auto.

Yeah, its stinks that the deal fell through after I bought my new car. I'm not gonna go broke or anything, but it would be nice to have the $ to add some things to the new car to make it perfect.
