Will this cam work??
I'm just about ready to re-assemble my 1995 LT1 engine. I have a cam that I originally bought for my other car but haven't installed it yet. It is a Lazer brand cam, new, and here are the specs:
Duration at .050 222/228. Lift with 1.5 rockers is .510/.502.
This is a LT1 cam with the long pin and deep holed snout. LSA 112 deg.
I have a set of LT4 springs, but I still need retainers and locks.
I guess what I'm hoping to find out is if this cam will work ok with the rest of the engine being stock, with the exception of a CAI and a highflow cat with a flowmaster cat back muffler system.
Am I getting myself into a bunch of headaches with this setup??

well, that cam seems tuned for a little higher rpm range, but if you have an M6, it will be fine.
goin that aggressive, you will definetly need a tune afterwards. sure it will work, but you better throw a set of headers on there to take full advantage of the power gain.
some heads would make things better too, but not 100% neccessary.

I would do atleast 3200-3500
that cam's more aggressive then a LT4 GM hot cam, and I am gonna do a 32oo stall with that.
I say 3.73 gears, and a 3500 stall will put a big smile on your face

seen people get 1/2 second gain with stock motor and a 3500 stall
