What is used for closed and open loop?

I am having troubles with a sensor causing the car to stumble, misfire, and even pop through the intake at part throttle conditions. It never seems to do this when I first start the car, and never does it under full throttle conditions. I believe this is possibly from a sensor that is not being used during closed loop conditions, but is used during open loop. Does anyone know what sensors are used during each llop cycle? Thanks.

No, the ses light comes on occasionally but I don't get any constant memory codes. I thought at first maybe the opti, but I changed that and the ignition control module and still have the problem. I bought the car with the full length headers and off road y pipe already installed, so I assume the o2 sensors on there are the front 2 before the cat if I go to buy new ones, correct? Thanks.

It may be a tuning issue. The computer uses different tables for WOT than it does for cruise. Did it just recently start doing this??

It started doing this some time after the madz28 tune was done. the only change that was performed shortly before was the installation of the moroso cold air kit, but I talked to Ian and he said there should be plenty of room in the tune for a cold air kit. When it started doing this on the way to work I noticed a plug wire burned on the header on the passenger side. I changed the plug wire and the plug, but it kept doilng the same thing. Next I changed the opti with a brand new GM unit, but the problem remained. I then changed the ignition control module, but still no fix. I am ready to pull my hair out on this one!!!!!!!!
