    i have a 97 trans with a 383 stroker.

    Go with the 58mm from ASM. Not only does it look cool but it flows big time!!!
    2000 SS #1827,NBM,A4,leather,t-tops,lid,eibach springs,hotchkis lca's,slp lid,slp cold air induction,slp loudmouth,baer brakes up front,13.11@107 on street tires,12.90@109 on dr's....time for the cam and intake to be installed

    There is a guy on ebay that sells TB's for cheap. He rebuilds them and powdercoats them to your color choice. Then he refunds some of that money when you send him your old TB.

    Are you at 440rwhp as your username would suggest? The stock throttle body really isnt that big of a restriction. A 52mm would more than suffice, but dont expect any huge gains from it.

    i dont expect any huge gains from it but want to have it before i tune it again

    If you go 58mm, you have to remove your intake manifold and have it ported. The machine work on that is around $100, and then you have to get a gasket kit that is around $30 and then the labor to remove and install the manifold. Oh, by the way, Its 100% pointless to go 58mm. Trust me, I spent the money.... Im runnin 58mm. 52mm is where its at. Im sure you have herd of the "Nomad" TB's. Google them if not. Hes one of my good buddys. He builds an AMAZING T-body and its cheaper than hell.

    this is true but i had this done and my heads at the same time and that 58mm
    and the port work big gains
