    Exclamation Vibration at 80 mph

My car has a vibration that starts right at 80 mph. It doesn't matter if I am in 5th or 6th and it feels like driving over the grooves on the side of the highway but softer. I can mostly feel it on the clutch pedal but my clutch is great with no slippage. Trans never gives a problem or a grind either I can feel it more when I let off the gas. I was thinking maybe flywheel but I am an idiot when it comes to trans/clutch issues. Thanks in advance for opinions

Could be the driveshaft. If it was a clutch/flywheel issue, it would most likely be related to engine speed, not vehicle speed

might have thrown a weight off. take the driveshaft to a machine shop and have them balance it. it might not be the issue though but it is the best place to start

driveshaft being off balance is somewhat common on these cars.

thanks for the replies I'll get that checked. had a similar problem with my old mustang but the whole car shook with that. I read people using ws6 driveshafts and such. what do you guys suggest as a replacement if I go that route?

For stock or near stock power levels, a stock aluminum driveshaft out of an LS1 car works well. Bolts right in and they're fairly cheap.

There is a campaign on the drive shaft if it vibrates around that speed. But its a fast vibration. Not like a tire vibration which is more "vigorous"

Mine did the same thing. It was the drive shaft.
