Trouble finding cats
I have a 96 lt1 trans and am looking to purchase two hiflow cats for when I get the headers installed, problem is, I cant find any. every distributor page I have has cats for 93-95 lt1's or ls1's only. i found a few universals but i'm not sure whats what anymore. I have the 1 3/4 inch slp shorty (some say mids) http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=30017C
it doesnt say how large the tubing is on the headers but i assume where they match up with the cats is factory manifold size (whatever that is, 2.25-2.5"?) since they are designed to mate to the stock cats? so i have no idea what size cats i should get if i have to get universal highflos?

I have aftermarket headers on a '94. I did the whole thing through a muffler shop. They supplied the Catco cat (universal 3" in and out), weld the flanges on, and they went ahead and bolted it in while they had it apart. I spent about $175.
