Stroker or not
I've got many, many miles on the TA. Thinking about rebuilding the motor. Should I make it a 383 or not. I'm not into dragging and don't want to get 12 miles to the gallon either. If the comprssion is high and cam "hot" as well, will hte computer ever work right?

if you stroke it you will need new comp and alot other things and it will suck gas, but will make BIG power

The stroker will get you more torque in general. Either way, if you want to make big power, mileage is going to go down. That said, plenty of power can be made with stock stroke engines. Any engine building you do, you're going to need a custom computer tune if you want to realize the full potential of the engine.

Well, if I rebuild it say .30 over and turn the crank about 30 degrees, will that give me more power but with the same milage? What about a low end or RV cam?
Just how much can I do before I have to send the PCM off?
