stock LT1 1/4 times?
I'm just curious if anyone knows about what stock LT1's ran, I know the LS1's would do mid-high 13's stock with a good driver.
Thanks for any input.

Low to mid 14's. I think the M6 with professional driver managed a 13.9 or something. But let's face, who of us are professional drivers?

Medium Quazar Blue- 1997 Trans Am LT1
My bone stock LT-1 (all i have done is a cone filter on the stock intake and i was running 93 octane with X1R octane booster from auto zone) Ran 14.42 at 94 mph on a cold track with shitty traction. If I remember right that was after i snaped the tranny mount on my first pass too lol... gotta love GMs, you could throw a grenade in the gas tank and theyll still run a good time

lt1's run mid 14's with either bad driver or on a bad day stock....93 tend to run more mid-low 14's...94's and 95's run more on average of low 14's and 96-97 run low low 14's and have broke into 13's....this is with normal drivers, people have screwed up and run mid 14's or worse sometimes, but hey there have been ls1's with drivers that cant break 13's sometimes too...but on average lt1's are low 14 sec in the 1/4 with normal elevation...14-14.3

I'm out in Schaumburg. Thanks, I was looking for a blue 01-02 but couldn't find any that weren't beat up. I forgot about the 30th cause you don't see them much. So I found it bought it and then proceeded to bend valves and pushrods 8 hrs later. Needless to say I almost threw up.Your in burbank ? Where is it from here? Seen it just can't remember.

Not sure where some of you are getting these times... Lots and lots of stock LT1s have run high 13s, kind of like lots of stock LS1s have run low 13s. Most of the stock LT1s in the high 13s are auto/3.23 cars, or 6 speeds.

how can they run high 13's if they suck so much? haha Like what was said in another post. I mean like LS1's got all those changes and stuff, and only got 20 - 30 more horses stock. Heck, just one good set of headers on my LT1 will get 20 to 30. oh well.. no reply necessary. Dont wanna rehash. haha

Thanks for all the replies guys I was just curious until I get to try it out when I finally get a chance to get to the track.
So it's a pretty good assumption once I learn to drive it properly(my first manual car) I should be able to at least scratch 13's with a 95 T/A M6, K&N FIPK, Magnaflow Catback and a Hypertech(yeahyeah I know it came with the car =P)

yeah im glad to see a lot of u fellow lt1 owners admitting that we do not own pieces of garbage like stated before in some threads by biased ls1 owners....a m6 lt1 with cai, lt headers, tune and dr's is enough to take stock ls1's

Yeah, I don't know why some people hate on the LT1 so much. Just because it came from the factory with a little less horsepower than some other ones doesn't make it a worse engine. There are plenty of LT1's that can put LS1's down, but the visa-versa is true also. I don't hear people hating on the old 350's and 396's because they don't put out as much power as the 350's and 396's of today.
