Soo question

I found a LT1 short block for 100 bucks, could probably talk the guy down to 75 or 50 bucks for the block.

LT1 shortblock with timing cover, water pump, opti, and crank pulley. Same as above, $100

^ how he listed it, i was wondering if it was worth while and what could be done with it if i picked it up off the guy. Just NOOB questions im sure.

Just occurred to me i could probably build it to a LT4?

yeah, decent deal. I'm sure it is only a 2 bolt main block, but still not bad. Just a matter of if you want to put the money into it to build it... forged parts, stroker, big cam, etc.

Well id be very intrested in building it, is it really worth it though? Can i get a solid amount of HP out of it or is it just going to blow up?

Uhh yeah, you can get a lot of hp out of it. It's all about what parts you choose, how good the machine work is, and how well it is put together. But if you're going to put some monster built shortblock under stock heads and cam, then you're just wasting money.
