    opti and timing help

i was having a high end miss on the dyno c hanged the plug and check wires. my tuner said its the opti, running great expect around 4200 missed then cleared up over 5500 6200 max rpm. changed the opti (first time) now idles rough and has severe detonation i assumed with the mandrel having the slot in it you couldnt get it out of time or is there something i missed oh and i have the ltcc conversion done at the time of the dyno. thanks for any help.

What did the guy say that lead him straight to the opti? Opti typically wont clear up on high end especially if your running the ltcc kit on it. sounds more like ignition modual. You need to bring more info as far as what he was seeing through the pcm while it was doing it. If it's on the dyno being tuned it should be data loged at the same time as well as wide banded. Could be just as easily in the tune or one of the engine sensors or even the ltcc it's self. There have been guys that have had those go bad. Post some more info.
