I do it on the k-member or on the lower control arms. OTOH that is where it gets lifted when it goes on a lift.

You'll be fine putting stands there. No problem at all, just put them as far forward as you safely can for balancing purposes if the entire car is off the ground.

And I personally would NEVER use the lower control arms for jack stands.

Yes, but if you want you could use a block of wood between the jack/car, to lessen the chance of denting.

thanks all... makes me feel better about it.... just seems like thin boxed frame right there and it didn't seem right for some reason...

i had to change out my pads... they were getting close and car was stopping like crap.. so easy on these cars!

freaking thing is leaking oil from everywhere though.... i feel a little overwhelmed about it. i think i'm going to take it to a shop and have them replace many of the seals. the guy i bought it from said he had to do the intake a few weeks before i bought it and i think they did a shitty job as it COULD be leaking from there

i guess this is a downside of buying a 96 with only 32k on the clock... bad seals! i also need to start replacing all of the bushings... is an energy suspension poly kit good enough or should i look at another kit??

    thanks!

lol, i love your avatar. ....i'm ron burgandy?..

erm, sorry, OP that is where i lift my birds from, wether it be on stands or lifts. although with stands it may bend just a tad but nothing too worry about.
