Lt1 Vs. 5.0 Cobra
My buddy has a 94 cobra with a 347 stroker, and I have an lt1 with underdrive pulleys, headers, y pipe, computer tuned, shift kit, cai, tb bypass, 3" cutout going to a one chamber with borla tips, mass air ported and descreened, no egr or air pump, new tr55s and 8.0 plug wires. All i know about his car is that its stroked. Does anyone think I would have a chance?

Well if he's got a 347 stroker he's not a 5.0 anymore! I had a 95 Cobra, it wasn't stroked by I had full bolt on's and I never won against any LT1. I think this should be close. Good luck...

If the 347 is relatively mild, and running like one should (ie., propertly set-up and tuned), I'd bet on the 347. You might be at 300rwhp and weigh about 3,500lbs or so. The 347 should be making more power and the 94-95 body should weigh a few hundred lbs less than the FBody. I've seen street-driven M5 NA 347s trap in the 108+ range out here (crappy DAs), with the more built ones running in the 115-range.
But.....with that said....anything can happen on the street. Good luck

The car is supposed to run 7.90s with a 150 shot, so im thinking 8.90s on motor. I think mine should run that. By the way this is an 1/8th mile track.

You don't know much about that Cobra, apparently. If he has gears and good tires, you will prolly be in the rear view. I am looking at it from a Fox 5.0 point of view, if those mods were on a fox, then you would be in for a good race, which you might very well lose.
Bolt-on LT1 vs. Heavily modded 5.7 Cobra
I don't want to be the naysayer of the bunch, but your chances are not good.Heads 'n Cammed, Moser 12, 3.73's, Weight Reduction, 13" Brembo Kit
BMR track suspension, full exhaust, the works...
412whp/394wtq 1/4 mile slip coming soon!

7.90's on a 150 shot is pretty damn slow for the mods on the Cobra. If it was set up right, it should be mid 7's at around 95 mph or so.
