Just put in a stock replacement pump then and you should be fine.

DO NOT get a HV pump. The short block that I bought for my car had a HV pump in it and I didn't even think about it. I put my stock pan on it and dropped it in. Big mistake. to make a long story short, it sucked the pan dry and filled the heads full of oil, tore up the crank. I just got the motor back in this past week.

M55 stock pressure stock volume. M155 stock pressure stock volume. You do not need a high pressure pump to blow out of seals. The m155 came in my stroker kit. I ended up having to buy an m55 to work with a moroso oil pan and moroso pickup. The m155 uses a 3/4 pickup tube inlet and the m55 uses a 5/8 pickup tube inlet I think the stock pickup tube is a 3/4 so you could go with the m155. If you decide to go with another pickup and need a 5/8 inlet on the pump, use the m55

There are a couple versions of the Melling pump. I believe a Melling Select has a more robust hosing.

Always braize the pickup tube to the pump.

Why if it has a bolt? Is it Because of possible air syphen?

Many years ago in one of our racing engines we had one of those bolt tabs break, or come loose. I forget which. When you lose a pickup, bad things happen. Braizing the pickup on is quick, easy, and good insurance.
