Lt1 Ignition Problem.
I have a problem. I have a 1993 Trans am Lt1. When my car is cold it runs smooth no miss firing, no hesitation but once the engine warms up the car starts hesitating when i try to accelerate, a couple times at a stop light when it turns green and accelerate it shots off but starts up soon after. Remember it only happens when the engine gets hot, no check engine light is turned on... I changed my spark plugs and cabels, and all the vaccum hoses are new.... If any one knows what the problem is ill be greatly thankfull for the help...

I see in your other post you just changed the cap and rotor, but not the opti sensor as well. Your going have to take it a part again. But before you do that change the TBS sensor to see if that helps your hesitation problem. If that doesn't work back to opti sensor itself.

my dad has a 93 Lt1 and we have replaced ours like 3 times already and about to replace it one more time. Unfortunatly he has already bought another one from Oriellys, but I found this unit on the internet while looking around. Heres the site you might want to check out. Dont know much about them but its worth a look.

Whenever my opti goes out, I AM NOT going with another opti-style unit. I plan on getting the Delteq replacement. Its kinda like the LTCC kit, but its a complete plug-and-play unit, no fabrication at all.

Black- 93 Trans Am
Having the same problems. Been misdiagnosed for a while, but it seems like the opticrap has finally caught up to me.
My T/A is on the shelf until I can scrape up the pesos for the Delteq kit.

lemme guess you had 1. a bad water pump not too long ago, or two just changed to the msd... When the water pump goes like my 93 TA did it leaks right down into the optispark distributor and bam you have one big mess. I tried to replace it with the MSD and it was crap unfortuntely.
Replace it with a stock or just do the coil pack conversion
