Just wait til you start it up. Overall how do you like the LPP? Give us an update after you drive it a bit and let us know about fitment, tight spots, etc...

so far.....the product seems good.
honestly....well....the flange is REALLY thick 1/2"....so I needed longer then normal header bolts. so I got studs.....um....well....they didnt make install any easier... the gaskets that came with the kit are garbage. the kit comes with no header bolts either.......

Kinda know how ya feel man, I was without my car for almost a month when my trans crapped out on me. It's kinda depressing not being able to drive it, but like he said, just think of when you finally get it all squared away and get her started up! The headers should make it sound better and give you a little more performance, and you'll love your car even more because of all the hard work you put into it

u should get the stage 8 locking header bolts that i have, u can put a wrench on them and in the tight spots u can use and allen wrench on them , its helps out BIG TIME!!! and u may wanna get like some header wrap and wrap a couple of ur plug wires where they will be close to the headers, as soon as i cranked mine up it was missing pretty bad and a couple were arcking off the headers!! but yeh TAKE UR TIME do not get in a rush believe me its worth every minute of it and u will be proud of ur work!

i know exactly how you feel.when i installed my pacesetters, it seemed like i would never get done. but 2 days later and a couple of bruised knuckles they were in. when you get the y pipe on let us know how the fitment is
10-20-2008, 06:29 PM #26
So did u get the ory pipe? And u get race style headers or with the egr/air hookups?
10-21-2008, 09:41 AM #27
I feel your pain. But after you get it all together, you'll probably be so awe struck, you'll be ready for a new project. hehe
I finally got mine fixed and I have mine for sale now.
10-21-2008, 05:49 PM #28
they are race style. egr, air delete. and a ORY.
man, I crusied them open headers around my neighborhood a bit....dude.....everything in my car was rattling......it was runnin pig rich....like to the point where performance is severly impaired.
well, I will hook up the y tommorrow probly....and might make a video open headers first....dont know yet....the motor is loud, but doesnt feel very happy

yep know what ya mean, it will sound better with the ypipe on, not as crackly and like raspy sounding, it will have more of a tone to it once u get the ypipe on and it will change the tone quite a bit with the ypipe on

so how many heads did u turn lol
10-24-2008, 11:42 AM #32
a bunch. I drove to school open header, and revved it up. my friend said it echoed off the building and was loud as hell lol.
now I got just the y on it. I need to custom fit my mid pipe. all the rattling is gone, and it got a lil quieter....too a tolerable level inside. atleast when you are driving like a grandpa....when you stick your foot in it.....holy crap!!!!!!!!!! it sounds like I am tearing the world in half lol!

I was thinking about goin with LPPs too... glad to hear that they are working out good for you (minus the horrid install period lol).

Hell yeh that's cool bro!! U need to get a cut out as well to it will sound bad ass!!so could u feel the throttle response since u put the headers on, its feels like ur engine is breathing better huh!!
10-25-2008, 02:21 PM #35
well, since it is outta tune, I have driven it like really mildly.
I am gonna drive it again monday to repair my tires. (2 have screws in them it sucks)
I stuck my foot in it for like 2 seconds real quick, and it ddint even get into the top of first gear. it felt like it pulled pretty good, but I am gettin a tune on halloween, so I will give a full review then
also, once my exhuast is fully on, I'll post pics

what u got done to it? just curious u said u were getting a tune, and how much u paying for it ??
10-31-2008, 09:22 AM #37
my car is being tuned right now.....I am waiting for the phone call to pick it up....
if they gimme a sheet, I'll post the dyno sheet.
hopefully 270whp.....and a bunch more torque......dunno.....just a waiting game now....
btw, the car has the headers, magnaflow catback, msd wires, 160 thrmostat, ngk plugs, and I modded the airbox a lil bit.
the rest of everything is bone stock.....even the filter.
10-31-2008, 10:55 AM #38
No cold air intake? that may hold you back a bit.

aint bad huh?
after intake stuff....I'll do 3.73's and converter......then its spray time. I am gonna get a nitrous cam later, so I am goin with a vigilante 3600 stall. check it out, 3600 rpm is right at the beginning of the torque curve.....PERFECT!
