    Installed a lt1 in 94 convertable Camaro

I just installed a lt1 in a 94 Camaro body and tried to start it and it just kept spinning I tried to turn it off from the key and it kept spinning I had to remove the battery cable to stop it, my alternator was never installed was just trying an initial start up. Now I heard the engine run before I purchased it. The engine was in another Camaro when I heard it run so I'm thinking something is wrong with the Camaro itself and not the engine can anyone help

    Could be a sticking solenoid..

Did you use the starter that came on the engine, or your own?

I would recommend finishing getting it back together and then try to start it, and diagnose any issues from there as well.

Yes I used the starter that came with the engine the mechanic who did the install also tried another starter they both did the same thing. He put everything back together today I didn't get a chance to make it over there today tomorrow I will have it towed to my dads transmission shop so we can try to figure out what's going on
