    1994 camaro z28

    injectors not opening

    i have a 94 camaro with an lt1 that i just put in useing the painless perfomance fuel injection wiring harness . It won't start for me because the injectors aren't opening. I thought maybe the vats bypass in the kit wasn't working but i was told it should start anyways then vats would shut the injectors down after 2 seconds. I was told to check each injector with with 12v+ and ground and listen for a click. if they work, what else could it be? any ideas?

    Did you splice the Painless harness in or is it a "plug and play" unit?

    How do you know that the injectors aren't opening? Are you using monitoring software or something like that? What kind of fuel pressure are you seeing?

    lift one rail off the intake with the injectors on it and have a buddy hold the rail high enough to get a visual while you turn it over. If they spray then stop then yea its probably the vats. if they don't do shit look at the underside of the injector to see if there is any type of buildup. If theres nothing there check the injector fuses then follow your wiring to make sure everything was done right. I would buy some new O rings for the injectors on the side you lift just incase they are deformed or broken upon removal. How long did this motor sit for? the injectors themselves might just be shot too.
