Red- 1995 Trans Am 6 Speed
Ice on AC Low Press. Pipe
Took my 95 LT1 Trans Am 6 speed for an hour's drive today, sunny weather in the mid 80s, low humidity. After 45 minutes the air was not as cold as before and warm when I got home. Tried running on regular AC, then AC followed by MAX. Kept the temature setting on max cold.
When I opened the hood, the low pressure pipe was covered in ice, not condenstation. Is this a problem where the system needs recharging? Could there be a sensor not working right? Or is this typical and need to run the AC not as cold? This was the first time where I needed to drive the Trans Am for an hour, most trips are under 30 minutes.
Any ideas before going to Mr. Good Wrench?
