Got it started Finally!!!
ok well after just messing around in the engine bay , i finally got my 96 trans am started...it was just turning over and over and tryiny to crank, so i changed the fuel filter after i had spark and fuel pressure gauge showed 43-44 psi , so i let it turn over and over and slowly but surely it fired up and sputtered and misfired and got better and better till it cleared up...now while it idles just a little rough and cuts out and misfires....so i turned it off and turned my key to the on position , my fuel pumped stayed on longer than normal and a loud whistle sound, do u have a clue what is causing all this? my plugs looked black so maybe they are fouled out !!
PLEASE I AM GETTING SO FUSTRATED AT THIS F-N CAR!!!!

well, if you have 40+ pounds of fuel pressure then you should be ok.
But with this kind of problem, you should be getting an SES code.
Always start with the SES code.
Need more information...
But I Would guess its an ignition problem. Possibly ICM.
