EGR/air pump removal
is there anything to gain or lose by removing the EGR and air pump? I live in ohio so the emissions are not a problem, just wandering how this would effect the car good or bad. thanks

Nothing powerwise to be gained really, just clearing up some of the clutter in the engine bay. You'll have to do some programming to let the PCM know that they arent there anymore.

I took mine off and my car rund a little better. It keeps the intake a little cooler from not having the hot exhaust gases flowing, and like 5.0this said it makes more room.

Didn't notice any gain or loss by removing both. I did notice that the opti will be alot easier to replace since the air pump and bracket doesnt have to come off anymore.

Most people do it when they add headers since most headers aren't emmssions legal anyway.

No change...but you'll throw codes until you get em programmed out. It sure makes workin under the hood much easier. Highly recommend.
