Dumb question

I really dont know much about gas engines so im probably going to sound like a dumb ass but when i start my 95 TA it ticks for about 5 minutes untill its warmed up. how can i fix that. should i get a tune up and see if it still does it. BTW i work on diesels not gassers. so i kinda need some help.

If you need a tune up i would go ahead and do it although i doubt it will solve your issue. Most Lsx motors "tick" a bit until warmed up due to being an aluminum block with tight tolerances. since you have an Lt1 that isnt the case.
You may just have a Noisey lifter. You can try switching to a good full synthetic oil and see if that Takes the ticking down a bit... Either way i wouldnt be alarmed, More annoying than anything else.

Oh yea and FTR The only "Dumb Question" is the one that someone doesnt ask... WE all have to start somewhere, I spent 7 years as a diesel Tech, Now i work On Diesel's,Gasolines ETC ETC.
