Do i need a LT4 knock module?
I have a 97 ws6. i just had headers professionally installed and i did the rest. my Q is what are the symptons of needing a LT4 Knock Module.

Hook the car up on a dyno, make a run, and see how much timing the computer is pulling. Usually, you can't feel something like that on the road unless its drastic. I know mine is pulling timing like a mofo because of an exhaust leak that is very audible, but I can't FEEL a difference in the way the car runs on the road.

i just here allot of ticking when im accelerating. but when im not in gear and rev it up i dont here it. i dont understand

Ticking can be a number of things. Where is it coming from? I have an exhaust leak at my EGR provision on my header and it sounds like a tick. Ticking can also be a sign of a rocker going out.

Go ahead and guy one, I had knock (scanmaster is hooked uo full time in the 'frog eye') after header install.
After I changed it out I never had knock retard since!

I had cam/heads/headers installed a few weeks ago and I was getting rediculous amounts of knock retard at idle and low rpm, wot there was none... but I swapped in the LT4 modual (holy fucking easy to install by the way, 4 screws!) and I have 0 knock at idle, at cruise or wot... and i have a very noisy engine and full open exhaust that rattles when cold...

yeah i posted last night when i got it home, i was very fucking tired i worked 7-5 and 5 30 to 930 i bolted the exhaust up and had to do some O2 sensor modifications.. now that i have my witts about me i looked under the hood and discovered that the shop that installed my headers hooked up the passenger EGR to the header but its not sealed due to the fact that the egr has only one bolt hole and the EGR stem on my header has two. I think i will delete the EGR all together. Anyone have any experience of running no EGR. Other than the check engine light will i have any problems???

They sell egr block off plates, but I'm pretty sure they can just delete the code so it wont trip the light... but youll never pass emissions i believe afterwords?
