crank hub help
my cars been in the shop for over 3 years. obviously im in no rush to get it done, but im stuck on something, or should i say somethings stuck on my lt1. I cannot get the crank hub off for the life of me. Ive tried the conventional pullers and they just cant seem to make it budge. Has anyone ever run into this. if you have, how have you gotten the hub off. Any ideas would probably be appreciated, especially if one works.

Go to a local tool shop and buy the thickest balancer puller they have. Use the lube and let it sit for a couple hours then take a blow torch and heat up the balancer only. Then use the puller. Make sure you have the center bolt fully removed from the hub before anything. Guarantee it comes off.

Mine have always came off fairly easy with a 3 jaw puller.

Correct Hub puller
Kent Moore J-39046 is the recommended hub puller for an LT1. It also has the reinstallation tool.
