    cooling problems

    my car is 95 lt1.

the problem is my cooling fans turn on shortly after I start my car even though it is cold.(the fans do not come on when only the ignition is on,engine not started) what is the sensor located in a/c compressor line on passenger side engine bay?

i removed the cooling fan relays and fans do not come on

whats going on with the fans? computer?

i also replaced the sensor in the waterpump and added trifecta tuning w/modified fan turn on's---problem still persists??

    car runs great

I noticed mine did this right after I changed the water pump. First start-up, the fans kicked on in 10 seconds. It was also 20* out.

hmm...now that u mention this i think mine did/does the same thing. i dont remember...its been in storage for awhile. its a 93 formula by the way. the only reasoning i can come up with is that its programmed into the computer...idk. i mean lt1s are known for heating up quick or too much. it is an iron block making heat dissipation minimal, plus there is absolutely no room for the engine to breath. its not a bad thing that the fans are on....just annoying i suppose. another thing that wouldnt hurt is too have your radiator flushed/coolant replaced. then replace your thermostat with a 160 deg if not done already.
