WHI- 96 BC4 CAMARO
Comp Cams 292xfi???????
Has Anyone Used The 292xfi Cam? This Is What Comp Cams Is Suggesting For My Lt1 In My Race Car. THE CAM HAS 242/248 584/579 AT 113 DEGREES. THIS WILL BE IN A 383 WITH TRICK FLOW HEADS WITH APPROX 11.2 TO 1 COMPRESSION.

I guess this all depends on what kind of racing you're going to be doing. If your heads are being ported, it would be a good idea to work with the head porter, or someone with good LT1 cam knowledge, to pick a cam that works well with where your heads flow the best. The cam you posted is going to want to rev to make power. Make sure you have the gearing in the car necessary to take advantage of the high rpm power.
