    Canton valve covers

    Bought brand new CANTON valve covers. When I installed on my 1996 ss They do not clear the alternator. So I sent them back to canton It took them 3 weeks to return and they still dont fit. Anybody else have ame issue. They are close to working but they are not Thanks MILES

    TO create the necessary clearance you're either going to have to clearance the cover more, or grind on the alternator. There are write ups on how to do this.

    YA these valve covers are really nice to look at. You canbuy them off them off the canton website or ebay. I would suggest getting them from canton.

    I have a set similer to these. They are notched for the alt. bracket

    Just to let everyone know. I put a small notch on the valve cover also I took a good edge off the alternator. CLEARS SWEET!!! Also with alternator installed you cant see anything.
